Red Lotus is a community of artists, craftspeople and designers and is a design label for a commercial endeavor in craft-art.  It was begun with the belief in an economic system that is collaborative and not competitive.  A system which recognizes not only the need for an endeavor on a personal basis but also an endeavor that has a positive impact on a community basis and sustains and supports the development of mutual pursuits of establishing creative relationships based on craft-art. Red Lotus has an economic base, but it is not

intrinsically about economics and holds true  that through  collaborative connections common values and aesthetics are enhanced.  It is based on the belief that there is a universal point that is at the heart of the artistic creative process which crosses all boundaries. These creative experiences act as a teacher within and without.
